![]() When I do this I am then able to slide the nylon pressure line right out of the assembled adapter.what did you guys do to hold this line in. This episode the boys from Mighty Car Mods show you how to install a boost gauge.Get MAD MCM Stuff at the Official Shop. The instructions sound to me like it goes like this:īut when I do that, the line is not secure at all, a slight tug and it comes right out. I'm looking at the instructions for the Autometer boost gauge and it says to take the nylon pressure line and attach it to the back of the gauge using the adapter, ferrule and compresion nut. So I need to pick up another adapter to thread into the intake and hook the line up to, correct? What size? I don't understand the way I'm supposed to hook the line up to the gauge. I picked up an Autometer Z series gauge, and this was all the hardware included: I think what was throwing me off the most was the hardware included. I take off the rubber part and drill/tap beside it? Will putting a rag down there be sufficient enough to stop the metal bits from falling into the intake? I must have read about this a thousand times, but I learn better by seeing/doing as opposed to reading. OK, I believe I understand where to put it now. ![]()
